July’s Google’s Android distribution numbers are bringing some pretty cool news for Android fans. Android 4.4 KitKat now runs on 17.9% of Android devices, rising 4% from last month. Jelly Bean is still the most used version of Android.
There are three versions of Android 4.4 KitKat, which isn’t shown in the distribution numbers. There’s Android 4.4.2, 4.4.3 and 4.4.4, with most Android devices bound to 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 at the moment. KitKat itself is fragmented, and that creates headaches for both Android users and carriers.
